CalFresh expanded: undergrads may now qualify for up to $298/mo in food $

Since June 1, 2026, California expanded CalFresh student eligibility - per UCI Basic Needs, all UCI undergrads now meet the student exemption (you still need to meet income and citizenship/residency rules; grad students qualify only through approved programs or other exemptions).
