CalFresh expanded for college students - free help applying at UCI

Starting June 1, 2026, more California college students can qualify for CalFresh. Per UCI Basic Needs, all UCI undergraduates now meet the CalFresh student eligibility requirement (you still have to meet other rules such as income and citizenship/lawful permanent residency; grad students qualify only through approved programs or other exemptions).
